Job Description:

  • Develops procedures utilizing company quality policies and procedures;
  • Maintains SPC and process capabilities for equipment.
  • Conducts failure analysis for non-conforming product, charts data and recommends corrective action procedures.
  • Resolves routine and complex problems relating to quality and inspection.
  • Evaluates parts returned by customer; provides non-conforming and correction reports.
  • Confers and corresponds with customers on inspection results.  
  • Develops and implements piece part inspection and sorting plans.  
  • Maintains SOPS and manufacturing control plans.
  • Evaluates inspection data.
  • Recommends adjustments needed in production operations to maintain quality and/or to correct errors.  
  • Operates quality related software programs to develops PPAP documents and analyze customer sample parts. 
  • Enforces quality standards based on customer specifications and corporate quality goals. 
  • May inspect borderline parts and designate as `approved/rejected`. 
  • Conducts quality meetings with employees to resolve/solve quality issues.  
  • Provides guidance to quality technicians and other employees on quality related issues. 
  • Maintain organized and clean work area.
  • Receive, understand and follow all written and oral instruction.                    
  • Communicate all problems and other work-related issues to supervisor.
  • Timely completion of all documentation associated with position.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and attendance requirements.
  • Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes and product quality. 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
  • Assist with CMM operations and /or programming.
  • Follow the company safety rules and other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.



  •  Advanced technical training in quality assurance, mechanical inspection
  •  3-5 years` experience as a senior quality technician.
  • Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.
  • Fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect international standards or requirements. 
  • Read and understand product drawings/solid models and GDT. 
  • Basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
  • Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
  • Ability to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Ability to use management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions
  • Ability to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
  • Ability to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements
